I am pleased to be doing a presentation at OPUS in Langley on July 21st. It is free to attend but you must contact OPUS in advance to register.
I will be demonstrating how I use underpaintings to start my paintings.
"The spontaneous “happenings” that occur during this process will provide your work with a path, allowing subsequent layers of paint to build visual depth and rich texture. Kit Bell will share her method of starting her paintings with a loose, colourful underpainting. She will cover various methods of progressing with the image, such as transparent, opaque, positive and negative painting using a wide variety of tools. Kit will start with a PowerPoint presentation to show finished paintings and the various stages of their development as well as provide hands-on demonstrations of her techniques."

The Okanagan provides inspiration wherever you look. I enjoy both painting on location and working in my studio. For more information contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
