Under $100 Paintings

On this section of the web site, I have placed all my work that qualifies as Under 100 - under 100 square inches and all priced under $100.
I first started painting this collection of work for the Lake Country Art Gallery's Under 100 Show. I have been having a lot of fun doing these smaller scale paintings and I have been learning a lot as well.
When you paint on a smaller scale, the subject must have some striking but simple forms. Many of these work have been painted on location (Plein Air paintings - see my blog post). Painting on location allows me to choose what features of the landscape interest me and deserve a spot in my painting! Others have been done in my studio from reference photos I have taken on location.
